Booker", "B001288", "www.booker.senate.gov", "booker", "https://www.booker.senate.gov/news/press", "scraper", "NEWARK, N.J. \u2013 U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) today announced his 2023 Jersey Summer Road Trip, a series of stops highlighting New Jersey\u2019s 21 counties and his commitment, as he marks 10 years in the U.S. Senate later this year, to fighting \u2013 and delivering \u2013 for the state\u2019s priorities in Washington, D.C. Booker\u2019s road trip will focus on his efforts to secure congressionally directed funding for critical projects; legislative priorities, such as addressing the opioid epidemic, countering the scourge of gun violence, and honoring New Jersey\u2019s veterans; and his support of local businesses and organizations.\n\nThe road trip is scheduled to begin tomorrow, August 25th, with stops in Bergen, Warren, and Union counties before continuing over the weekend and into next week. The final day of Booker\u2019s tour will include an event in Newark on August 31st to discuss community violence intervention strategies with the New Jersey Urban Mayors Association.\n\n\u201cMy summer road trips are among the great joys of this job that New Jersey first elected me to nearly 10 years ago,\u201d said Sen.
