We know that Trump has the resources to continue SNAP and other programs like WIC. Weaponizing food assistance is, simply put, a new and disgusting low. Americans should be able to afford food and health care, but this administration seems to want them to have neither. It is past time for Trump and Republicans to come to the negotiating table and work with Democrats to pass a government funding bill that will lower the catastrophic spike in health care costs Americans are facing and end Republicans\u2019 government shutdown.\u201d\n\nSee Also:", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-06T19:32:54Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.booker.senate.gov/news/press/booker-statement-on-trump-admin-refusing-to-use-contingency-funds-to-pay-for-november-snap-benefits"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.6998470053076744, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
