Booker", "B001288", "www.booker.senate.gov", "booker", "https://www.booker.senate.gov/news/press", "scraper", "Mullica Hill, NJ \u2013 Today, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) toured Rowan University\u2019s South Jersey Tech Park, which includes federally funded research and development for the manufacturing, infrastructure, and aerospace industries.\n\nBooker visited the Tech Park\u2019s Center for Research and Education in Advanced Transportation Engineering Systems (CREATES), the Cave Automatic Virtual Environment, and the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Institute. He supported the designation of CREATES as a U.S. Department of Transportation Region 2 University Transportation Center, a program designed to address the need for safe, efficient, and environmentally sound transportation through the creation of partnerships between government and universities.\n\n\u201cPartnerships between the federal government and institutes of higher learning are what drive our nation\u2019s innovation and prosperity,\u201d said Sen. Booker. \u201cThe students, professors, and leadership at Rowan University are working on groundbreaking projects\u2014from rocket engine tests for NASA, to environmental studies for local governments, to research used in the aerospace and biomedical industries. I was proud to visit and see this research firsthand today.\u201d\n\n\u201cRowan\u2019s research capability will continue to impact the greater good for the citizens of our great state.
