Senator Britt is a previous board member of AWF and has continued her advocacy for Alabama\u2019s abundance of natural resources in the United States Senate.\n\nSenator Britt was recognized at this 40-year-old event that celebrates individuals and organizations who have made great contributions to the conservation of Alabama\u2019s wildlife and natural resources.\n\n\u201cAlabamians know that \u2018Alabama the Beautiful\u2019 isn\u2019t just a reflection of our state\u2019s splendor and abundant natural resources, it\u2019s a testament to our incredible farmers, fisherman, foresters, cattlemen, and so many more who work tirelessly to steward and preserve them,\u201d said Senator Britt. \u201cIt\u2019s a true honor to be named the Legislative Conservationist of the Year by the Alabama Wildlife Federation\u2014an organization that I have been proud to serve in and now partner with to advance important legislative priorities. Her award was accepted by her father, Julian Boyd.\n\n\u201cSenator Britt has worked tirelessly to champion common-sense wildlife and natural resource conservation principles that help balance use, management, and protection of those important resources.
