Congress has solved the immediate issue, but we must also make sure this never happens again. That’s why I’m cosponsoring Senator Dan Sullivan’s Protecting Regular Order for Veterans Act, which requires the VA to submit quarterly, in-person budget reports to Congress. If another budget shortfall occurs, this bill would require VA bureaucrats to forfeit their taxpayer-funded bonuses. I will continue to hold the VA accountable in its duty to provide care for those who served and sacrificed for this nation.”

###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-06T18:46:43Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://www.budd.senate.gov/2024/09/19/budd-supports-restoring-veterans-benefits-after-va-mismanagement/
