It was my honor to help their families receive the overdue recognition that they deserve for their meritorious service to our great nation.\u201d\n\nPercy Warren Jr. (family pictured above) enlisted in the U.S. Army in October 1939, fought in World War II, and served for over 22 years. Today, his family received the following medals:\n\nSilver Star\n\nPurple Heart\n\nMid-level United States military decoration presented for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service.\n\nGood Conduct Medal & Clasp Bronze 4 Loops\n\nAmerican Defense Service Medal\n\nEuropean-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal & Bronze Star Attachment & Arrowhead\n\nWorld War II Victory Medal\n\nArmy of Occupation Medal & Germany Clasp\n\nNational Defense Service Medal\n\nExpert Badge & Carbine Bar & Rifle Bar\n\nParachutist Badge \u2013 Senior\n\nPresidential Unit Citation\n\nBelgian Fourragere\n\nHonorable Service Lapel Button WWII\n\nGlider Badge & Bronze Star Attachment & Arrowhead\n\nLinwood Barrett (family pictured above) enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 17, fought in Vietnam, and served from October 1969 \u2013 July 1973.
