Cassidy\u2019s proposal would protect benefits for current and future retirees and strengthen the program\u2019s long-term solvency.\n\n\u201cEveryone watching\u2014everyone sitting here\u2014if they live to be retirement age will be affected by Social Security \u2026 This is just not luxury income.
