John Barrasso, R-Wyo. The bill would allow the Secretary of Energy to approve exports of natural gas, including LNG, to NATO allies and Japan. Under current law, the Secretary is only required to approve natural gas exports to countries that have free trade agreements with the United States.
A copy of the letter is available below.
RELATED LINK: • Mississippi Leaders Advocate Growth of LNG Export Market: http://bit.ly/1ouOpBy
###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://www.cochran.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases?ContentRecord_id=0e18f9e4-6d30-4be6-9cbe-3bd6bd099905
