{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://www.cochran.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases?ContentRecord_id=39074883-d7c4-4943-99f8-d8a8e88dd68d", "COCHRAN SUPPORTS HIGHWAY TRUST FUND EXTENSION", "2014-07-29", "2014", "2014-07", "Republican", "House", "MS", "Thad Cochran", "C000567", "www.cochran.senate.gov", null, null, "legacy", "WASHINGTON \u2013 U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) today issued the following statement regarding his vote for Senate passage of a bill to extend the solvency of the Highway Trust Fund through Dec. 19, 2014:\r\n\u201cPassage of this bill in the Senate is a step toward offering Mississippi and other states some measure of certainty of the resources available for highways and transportation infrastructure projects.\u00a0 The House and Senate must now reach an agreement on a final bill.\u00a0 I do not think short-term extensions are the best policy, but this extension is preferable to bringing highway construction projects to an abrupt halt.\u201d\r\nThe Senate amended a House-passed measure (HR.5021) that would extend the Highway Trust Fund through May 31, 2015.\u00a0 As a result of the Senate modifications, the two houses of Congress must now reach consensus on a final bill.\u00a0 The U.S. Department of Transportation has indicated that Highway Trust Fund is set to become insolvent in early August, requiring it to begin cutting road payments to states.\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.cochran.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases?ContentRecord_id=39074883-d7c4-4943-99f8-d8a8e88dd68d"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.060006208717823, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
