{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://www.cochran.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases?ContentRecord_id=A7F9A208-5700-4410-ACC7-F99C69202274", "BILOXI GAINS NEARLY $9.0 MILLION FOR INFRASTRUCTURE, COCHRAN & WICKER REPORT", "2016-05-31", "2016", "2016-05", "Republican", "House", "MS", "Thad Cochran", "C000567", "www.cochran.senate.gov", null, null, "legacy", "WASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 U.S. Senators Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) and Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) today announced that the City of Biloxi will receive a nearly $9.0 million grant to purchase infrastructure easements.The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will award a Public Assistance grant worth $8,955,627 to Biloxi for ongoing work to improve infrastructure damaged during Hurricane Katrina and subsequent storms.\u201cBiloxi will be able to use these funds to improve its water and wastewater systems to withstand future storms,\u201d Cochran said.\u201cThis FEMA grant offers critical funding to Biloxi to make infrastructure upgrades in preparation for future storms,\u201d Wicker said. \u201cLocal residents will benefit from these improvements and the community will be stronger and better equipped in the long run.\u201dThe funding will be used to purchase permanent easements required to replace damaged water and sewer infrastructure.\u00a0 No state or local matching funds are required with this award.FEMA Public Assistance grants provide supplemental disaster assistance to state, local and tribal governments and some nonprofit organizations for debris removal and emergency protective measures.\u00a0 These grants can also fund the repair, replacement, or restoration of disaster-damaged, publicly-owned facilities.\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.cochran.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases?ContentRecord_id=A7F9A208-5700-4410-ACC7-F99C69202274"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.5343241393566132, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
