Through her role on the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Collins secured $935,000 in the Fiscal Year 2023 funding bill to renovate the Center, including making improvements to handicap accessibility and creating new athletic fields. In addition to the Town of Newport, the Center will serve the nearby communities of Plymouth, Etna, Corinna, St. Albans, Palmyra, and Hartland.\n\nClick HERE, HERE, and HERE for individual photos.\n\nSenator Collins then visited the Newport Fire Department to thank first responders for their work responding to fires and medical emergencies in Newport.
