The funding comes from the DOJ\u2019s Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, which Sen. Cornyn voted to fund as part of last year\u2019s Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act.\n\n\u201cAccess to proper equipment and modernized training is essential to ensuring our law enforcement officers are best able to protect Texans,\u201d said Sen.
