The Ratepayer Affordability and Transparency in Energy (RATE) Act promotes grid reliability by preventing states from mandating renewables that drive up electricity costs.\n\n\u201cState requirements for less reliable, renewable energy sources, shouldn\u2019t lead to higher energy costs for Arkansans. My bill would ensure those mandates don\u2019t impact energy prices,\u201d said Senator Cotton.\n\n\u201cAmericans voted to make energy affordable, accessible, and reliable again.
