This grant is part of a larger project to address capacity and condition deficiencies at Nathan F. Twining Elementary and Middle School, located at GFAFB.\n\nThe Nathan F. Twining Elementary and Middle School provides an education to hundreds of children of military men and women who live or work at the base. The school is unique within the Grand Forks Public Schools system, as it is the only school with a K-8 grade configuration. After completing 8th grade, students transition to Grand Forks Central High School.\n\n\u201cWhen we talk about supporting our military families, this kind of investment is exactly what we mean,\u201d said U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), chair of the Senate Armed Services (SASC) Airland Subcommittee. \u201cGrand Forks Air Force Base is a durable base with a durable mission, and needs equally durable, sustained quality of life improvements.
