U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly today announced federal grants that will help safety and operations at eight Hoosier airports: the Indianapolis International Airport, the Anderson Municipal-Darlington Field Airport, the Elkhart Municipal Airport, the Salem Municipal Airport, the Delaware County Regional Airport in Muncie, the Starke County Airport in Knox, the Columbus Municipal Airport, and the Marion Municipal Airport. These discretionary grants are funded by the Department of Transportation, and are in addition to the funding airports may receive from annual apportionments.\r\nDonnelly said, \"Indiana's airports help provide economic opportunities for local communities.
