Crane is one of our nation\u2019s most critical military laboratories, and I am pleased the Commandant could see firsthand the incredible work Hoosiers do every day at Crane to support our service members and protect our national security. I will continue working to ensure our military leaders take full advantage of these hardworking Hoosiers and help Crane grow its mission.\u201d\r\n\u201cI was proud to host the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps at Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center and Crane Army Ammunition Activity. General Neller was impressed by the skilled workforce at Crane and all they do for the Marine Corps, the Department of Defense, and our national security,\u201d\u00a0said Young.\u00a0\u201cThe Commandant\u2019s visit will help ensure that Crane and its workforce continue to play an essential role in supporting our warfighters for decades to come.\u201d\r\nThe visit comes on the heels of Senate passage of\u00a0its version of\u00a0the Fiscal Year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act. The Senate-passed version includes a Senator Young\u00a0amendment\u00a0that\u00a0would provide a boost to Crane.\u00a0Senator Donnelly served as a cosponsor of the amendment.\u00a0The Senate-passed NDAA also includes a\u00a0Donnelly-led measure that would fully fund a new $24 million shipping and receiving facility\u00a0at Crane Army Ammunition Activity.\r\nIn February, Senators Young\u00a0and Donnelly\u00a0invited General Neller to visit\u00a0Crane\u00a0to learn more about the facility and its workforce.\u00a0\r\nCongressman Bucshon joined Senator Young and Senator Donnelly in welcoming General Neller to Crane.\r\n\u00a0\u00a0\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.donnelly.senate.gov/newsroom/press/donnelly-young-host-neller-at-crane"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.926399301737547, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
