Today\u2019s tour follows the Senator\u2019s meeting yesterday with Jungham Kim, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chicago, where they discussed the importance of South Korea\u2019s relationship with Illinois and how well-positioned Illinois is for future investments that would bring more jobs and economic growth to our state.\n\n\u201cIllinois is a hub of agriculture, manufacturing, transportation and technology, making our state ideally positioned for growth in all of these sectors,\u201d Duckworth said. \u201cAs a member of both the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I\u2019m committed to both growing our domestic defense manufacturing sector and promoting Illinois on a global level.
