Wyoming families aren’t buying these arguments. They’re saying ‘you can’t spend more than you take in’. And you definitely can’t keep doing it forever and ever and ever…That’s what the Wyoming people think; we’ve got a problem with outgo, not income.
“Why do you and the president feel that we should not be discussing right now this dire financial situation and coming up with a solution that will put a little bit of room in there for something to be done right now? If these people are running up their credit card debt and they need to raise their limit, they’re expected to say what they will do in order to be able to take care of their debt.
“We keep saying that this terrible thing is going to happen and that this is just paying our bills. How many times can we say that this is just paying our bills? The American public doesn’t get that same option, and they don’t think that we ought to get that same option.”", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://www.enzi.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases?ContentRecord_id=1383850c-c46e-4486-af56-33f7d4e5b79f
