It\u2019s why I\u2019ve been a steady champion of myShe DRIVES Act to enhance passenger vehicle safety.\n\n\u201cI want to thank Secretary Duffy and the Department of Transportation for taking this step. Now it\u2019s time to pass my legislation to ensure future National Highway Traffic Safety Administrations do not slow or deprioritize these important efforts.\n\n\u201cIt's far past time to make these testing standards permanent, which will help save thousands of lives and make America\u2019s roads safer for all drivers.
