We need to get this bill over the finish line, and I urge its swift passage through the Senate.\u201d\n\nKey Budget Authorizations Secured by Fischer in the FY 2027 NDAA:\n\n$250 million for development of SLCM-N missile\n\n$150 million for development of SLCM-N warhead\n\n$100 million to support emplacement of a second AN/TPY-6 radar on Guam to provide 360-degree coverage\n\n$40 million for Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA)\n\nKey Provisions Secured by Fischer in the FY 2027 NDAA:\n\nBolstering Our Nuclear Deterrent:\n\nAuthorizing development of two additional theater-range nuclear capabilities\n\nRequiring a revised strategy for deterring multiple nuclear-armed adversaries\n\nModifying the strategy to sustain Minuteman III ICBMs until Sentinel emplacement\n\nFencing funding for the Secretary of the Air Force until the acquisition strategy for the Airborne Command Post capability has been delivered\n\nAuthorizing the establishment of public-private partnerships for nuclear effects testing\n\nDirecting a report on the force structure and production strategy for the B-21 aircraft\n\nRequiring briefings on autonomous or remotely piloted aircraft incursions in or around nuclear weapons related areas\n\nProtecting Defense Spectrum:\n\nRequiring notifications regarding any relocation of Department systems out of certain spectrum frequencies\n\nHomeland Defense:\n\nModifying the annual reporting requirement for the Golden Dome missile defense system\n\nDeterring China:\n\nProhibiting the use of funds to support entertainment projects with ties to China\n\nRequiring the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment and the Director of the Missile Defense Agency to ensure 360\u00b0 sensor coverage of the island of Guam by utilizing two AN/TYPY-6 radar emplacements\n\nOther notable provisions:\n\nAuthorizing funding for facilities, maintenance, restoration, and modernization (FSRM) accounts to be made available for three years\n\nDirecting a strategy to maintain and upgrade conventional munitions storage facilities to ensure the safe, effective, and long-term storage of current and future conventional munitions inventories\n\nDirecting the National Guard Bureau chief to assess using commercial wildfire satellite monitoring constellations\n\nIntegrating space weather into space domain awareness and operations\n\n###", 1, "2026-06-12T06:37:16Z", "2026-06-12T06:39:00Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.fischer.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news?ID=61A0BF87-B708-498D-AA52-4F9B912DCE0A"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9897840209305286, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
