U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) led the introduction of the bill.\n\n\u201cIsrael has the right and the responsibility to defend itself against unconscionable assaults from groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. Our bill would reallocate aid funding that could have ended up in Hamas\u2019s pockets to Israel\u2019s Iron Dome air defense system \u2014 the backbone of its missile defense architecture.
