Senator Fischer condemned Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019 incendiary rhetoric against President Trump and called for tighter security around the former president.\n\nSenator Fischer also discussed securing America\u2019s elections through the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act and Vice President Harris\u2019 backtrack on a fracking ban.\n\nClick the image above to watch a video of Senator Fischer\u2019s remarks\n\nClick here to download audio\n\nClick here to download video\n\nOn Vice President Harris\u2019 Policy Flip-Flops:\n\n\u201cI think it\u2019s very plain that Vice President Harris has always been in favor of banning fracking. That was her position when she was a United States Senator. If you recall, she has the most liberal voting record during her time in the Senate. She was very clear on that during the debates when she ran for president, that she would ban fracking. She didn't back away from that.\n\n\u201cShe\u2019s not listening to anybody in Pennsylvania on it, like the Governor of Pennsylvania said. What she\u2019s listening to are the polls, and that\u2019s why she flip-flops on every single issue. Whether it\u2019s fracking, whether it\u2019s EVs, whether it\u2019s government-run health insurance, she\u2019s backed away from that. She wants to defund the police, she backs away from that.\n\n\u201cSo, she just is trying to get elected and fool the American people, and that just isn\u2019t going to happen.\u201d\n\nOn Mainstream Media\u2019s Failure to Hold Vice President Harris Accountable:\n\n\u201cBut the issue is, Maria, the mainstream media. They don\u2019t pressure her. She doesn\u2019t speak to them, she doesn\u2019t give interviews.\n\n\u201cBut when she did have a debate, it was never followed up by the moderators of that debate, just where she really, really stood on issues. They let her get away with a lot of stuff.\u201d\n\nOn Protecting President Trump from Further Assassination Attempts:\n\n\u201cWell, first of all, we have to get to the root of the problem. And we haven\u2019t seen that investigation yet from the first attempt on the president\u2019s life. We have to make sure that he does have the security that he needs.\n\n\u201cHe is a candidate for president. He is a former president, and it really bears investigating how these attempts\u2014in 64 days, two attempts\u2014can happen on his life. To be able to protect a person who is trying to run again, trying to be elected as president, is extremely important. And we need to make sure that he has the protection that he needs.\u201d\n\nOn Democrats\u2019 Incendiary Rhetoric:\n\n\u201cHe does need more protection, especially when we see folks on the other side of the aisle. For example, the vice president, in the debate, made the comment about how President Trump is a threat to democracy\u2014the biggest threat to democracy since the Civil War.\n\n\u201cWhat kind of rhetoric is that, for anyone, but especially for the sitting Vice President, to attack a person like that and increase the threat to his safety?\n\n\u201cWe\u2019ve got to tone down this rhetoric and make sure, as I said again, we\u2019ve got to tone it down. We\u2019ve got to make sure that he has the protection that he needs, right?\u201d\n\nOn Securing America\u2019s Elections:\n\n\u201cYou know, it\u2019s just common sense. We need to vote on the SAVE Act. How can anybody be against that? It is the law that only citizens vote in this country.
