We\u2019re investing in our military capabilities like never before, and I\u2019m proud to bring a piece of that home to our state.\u201d\n\nFischer secured authorization for critical investments for Offutt Air Force Base and Lincoln Air National Guard Base:\n\n$69 million for the Defense POW/MIA Laboratory at Offutt Air Force Base\n\n$40 million for DPAA\n\n$15 million for the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) supply storage facility at Offutt Air Force Base\n\n$11.2 million to support the design of STRATCOM\u2019s Base and Operation Mobility Center on Offutt Air Force Base\n\n$10 million for STRATCOM\u2019s Nuclear Command, Control, Communications (NC3) Rapid Engineering Architecture Collaboration Hub (REACH)\n\n$10 million for STRATCOM\u2019s NC3 network sensor demonstration\n\n$4 million for the planning and design of a parking apron at Lincoln Air National Guard Base\n\n$1.5 million for the design to replace the vehicle search area at Offutt Air Force Base\n\nFischer secured several provisions aimed at supporting missions at Offutt Air Force Base and improving military health readiness:\n\nRequired space weather to be integrated into space domain awareness doctrine and operations\n\nRequired quarterly reports on sustainment funding and spare parts for the RC-135 fleet\n\nEstablished a program for the safe, long-range aerial transport of servicemembers infected by a high-consequence infectious disease\n\nDirected an assessment of expanding the Military-Civilian Medical Surge Program\n\nLimited funds pending submission of the strategy to sustain the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile and maximize end of life margin\n\nModified the strategy to sustain Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile and maximize end-of-life margin\n\n###", 1, "2026-06-12T06:37:16Z", "2026-06-12T06:39:00Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.fischer.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news?ID=FF01ABFB-2DDD-4169-AAA4-C80FDDFAA0E8"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9575453586876392, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
