On December 12, 2018, Gardner condemned China's human rights abuses in apersonal meetingwith China's Ambassador to the United States, Cu Tiankai.\r\n\r\nChina's actions in Xinjiang are unacceptable, barbaric, and an affront to basic civilized norms and human rights,said Senator Gardner.Iurge the Administration to take urgent action to help the Uighurs, including imposing sanctions on the Chinese authorities responsible for these abuses, and imposing an immediate import ban to ensure any products manufactured by forced labor in China never reach the United States.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n    ###\r\nCory Gardner is a member of the U.S. Senate serving Colorado.
