William Nathaniel \u201cNate\u201d Howard of Marshalltown and Sgt. Edgar Torres-Tovar of Des Moines. President Donald Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chief of Staff of the Army General Randy George also attended, along with Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and members of the Iowa congressional delegation.\n\nGrassley and Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) also introduced a Senate resolution honoring the lives and service of Howard and Torres-Tovar. Rep. Zach Nunn (R-Iowa) is leading a companion resolution in the House of Representatives.\n\n\u201cSergeant Howard and Sergeant Torres-Tovar paid the ultimate sacrifice, and we owe them a debt that can never be repaid,\" Grassley said. \"Yesterday\u2019s transfer of remains allowed us to continue paying our respects to these young men.
