The Autism CARES Act of 2024 renews and expands federal support for research, services, and training related to autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Senator Hassan, a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions (HELP) Committee, helped advance this legislation through the Senate.\n\n\u201cIndividuals with autism deserve the best opportunities possible to thrive,\u201d said Senator Hassan. \u201cThis bipartisan legislation will help advance autism research and education efforts. I am glad that the President has signed this bill into law, and I will continue to work to support people who experience disabilities.\u201d\n\nThis legislation is part of Senator Hassan\u2019s ongoing efforts to support people who experience disabilities. In May, Senator Hassan\u2019s provision to increase access to universal changing stations in airports was signed into law as part of the bipartisan Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization.
