Dangerous products illegally masquerading as lawful dietary supplements present a serious risk to public health. To address this problem, Congress has provided ample authorities to the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Justice, and numerous other federal agencies to protect consumers, and I have long advocated foreffectiveenforcement of federal standards.
