Hill Air Force Base will be home to 72 of the stealth fighter jets starting in 2015 and perform the long-term sustainment on more than 2,200 U.S. military jets with additional workload coming from international allies.\r\n\u201cThe capabilities of the F-35 fighter jet are unparalleled, and it was great to see firsthand some of our country\u2019s next generation fighter jets being built,\u201d Hatch said.\u00a0 \u201cThe jet is being built with care in Texas and will be flown and sustained by some of our Air Force\u2019s finest at Hill.
