Kennedy (RFK) Jr. that he would review \u2018alarming\u2019 new data on the chemical abortion drug mifepristone. RFK Jr. also stated that in light of the new data, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) label for mifepristone should change to accurately reflect the adverse effects of the drug.\n\n\u201cYou\u2019ve previously testified to the committee that you would do a top-to-bottom review of mifepristone,\u201d said Senator Hawley. \u201cDo you continue to stand by that, and don\u2019t you think this new data shows that the need to do a full review is indeed pressing?\u201d\n\n\u201cIt\u2019s alarming, and it indicates that at the very least, the label should be changed,\u201dRFK said regarding the new mifepristone data. \u201cI\u2019ve asked Marty Makary at the FDA to do a complete review and report back.\u201d\n\nRFK Jr. also promised he would submit his own recommendation to President Trump based on the data.
