Senator Heinrich has dedicated his career to shaping a better future for America\u2019s families by championing the solutions we need to some of the most consequential challenges of our time, and nowhere is that clearer than in his work on energy and public lands,\u201d said Dimitriou.\n\nDimitriou most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. Dimitriou previously served as Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, and as his Senior Policy Advisor working on energy, science, and climate issues before that. Formerly an American Association for the Advancement of Science/American Chemical Society Science Policy Fellow, Dimitriou earned her B.A. in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Washington University in St. Louis and her Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara.\n\nAdditionally, Heinrich announced that Ana\u00efs Borja will serve as his Energy Policy Director and Maya Hermann will serve as his Natural Resources Policy Director.\n\nBorja, a Senior Policy Advisor for Heinrich, has served as Heinrich\u2019s lead advisor on energy policy for three years, and has nearly 9 years of experience on Capitol Hill.\n\nHermann, a Senior Policy Advisor for Heinrich, was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
