Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) launched a website this week with resources for North Dakotans to learn about the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, and options people may have to get covered under the federal marketplace exchange.\r\n\r\n\r\nOpen enrollment started Wednesday, Nov. 1 and will last through Friday, Dec. 15.\r\n\r\n\r\n\u201cHealth care open enrollment has started, and I encourage North Dakotans to use the resources on my new webpage to help answer their questions, sign up for coverage, or search for different plans,\u201d Heitkamp said in a press release. \u201cThis year, the time frame to enroll in health insurance is a month and a half shorter with fewer federal resources available to assist folks.
