This week, Heitkamp helped pass a bipartisan student loan bill that allows students to take advantage of historically low interest rates, locks the rate in for the life of the loan and caps future rates.\u00a0Heitkamp also wrote legislation to assist individuals saddled with costly, private student loans repay.
