This legislation, which was championed by Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-2), contains a number of measures that are important to Nevada, including job-creating measures such as the Lyon County Economic Development and Conservation Act.\r\n\u201cI would like to commend my friend Congressman Amodei for his hard work in negotiating a compromise between the Nevada House delegation and the Republican and Democrat Natural Resources Committee leadership.\u00a0 In the Nevada delegation, we have a strong tradition of working cooperatively and in a bipartisan manner on public lands bills, and Congressman Amodei\u2019s work should be recognized.\u00a0\r\n\u201cToday\u2019s unanimous vote in the House Natural Resources Committee is an important step in the process, building bipartisan momentum for this proposal.\u00a0 I will continue to work diligently with Senator Reid and the leadership of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee to send this proposal to the President for signature before the end of the 113thCongress,\u201d said Senator Dean Heller. \u00a0\r\nSenator Heller, along with Senator Reid, introduced the\u00a0Lyon County Economic Development and Conservation Act\u00a0in the Senate.
