I\u2019m looking forward to the Senate vote next week.\u201d \r\nThe Nevada public lands priorities included in the package are:\r\n1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Lyon County Economic Development and Conservation Act\u00a0\u2013 allows the City of Yerington to work with Nevada Copper to expand its mining operation and create over 1000+ jobs while also providing the City with new infrastructure, job creation, and recreational opportunities.\r\n2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Elko Motocross and Tribal Conveyance Act -\u00a0conveys nearly 300 acres of BLM land to Elko County for a public motocross park while providing land to the Elko Band of the Te-Moak Tribe for housing and community development.\r\n3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Fernley Economic Self-Determination Act\u00a0\u2013 provides the City of Fernley over 9,000 acres of federal land within its boundaries suitable for l commercial and industrial development, agriculture, and the expansion of community and cultural events\r\n4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Las Vegas Valley Public Land and Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument Act\u00a0\u2013 establishes Nevada\u2019s first national monument while conveys BLM land suitable for economic development in Clark and Nye Counties for county and city growth and commercial development, additions to the Great Basin College in Pahrump, College of Southern Nevada, and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) campuses, establishment the Nellis Dunes OHV park, and an expansion of Nellis Air Force Base.\u00a0\r\n5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Pine Forest Range Recreation Enhancement Act\u00a0\u2013 establishes the Pine Forest Range Wilderness Area while directing land exchanges between the BLM and local ranchers to ensure the economic viability of privately owned ranches\r\n6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Carlin Economic Self-Determination Act\u00a0\u2013 provides the City of Carlin over 1,000 acres of federal land surrounding the City to be used for economic development.\u00a0\u00a0\r\n7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Naval Air Station Fallon Housing and Safety Development Act\u00a0\u2013 conveys nearly 400 acres of BLM land to the NAS Fallon for housing and continued use by the base.\u00a0\r\n8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Storey\u00a0County Lands Fix\u00a0\u2013 resolves a long-standing mining townsite issue that have put private property rights in question.\u00a0\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.heller.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/pressreleases?ContentRecord_id=eb0a3f69-c9bc-4f45-859b-3f4d1572827c"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.355077140033245, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
