Biden signed the Federal Judiciary Stabilization Act into law. The bipartisan, bicameral legislation led by U.S. Senators Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), both members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, transitions 10 temporary federal judgeships\u2014including one in Hawaii\u2014to permanent status in order to maintain the current level of access to the federal court for millions of Americans across the nation.\n\n\u201cIt was heartening to see broad bipartisan consensus on this bill to make the temporary district court judgeships around the country permanent, and I am glad that President Biden signed it into law,\u201d said Senator Hirono. \u201cThis legislation will ensure that people in Hawaii, Texas, and across the country can continue to rely on these longstanding temporary judgeships.
