Hirono marked the 100th anniversary of America\u2019s National Parks at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii Island. The Senator presented Hawaii fourth graders with Every Kid in a Park program passes, which provide free admission to National Parks for fourth graders nationwide to encourage exploration and learning.\r\n\u00a0\r\n\u201cAs we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the Every Kid in a Park program promotes a lifelong appreciation for our environment and natural resources,\u201d said Senator Hirono.\r\n\u00a0\r\n\u201cSenator Hirono is a dedicated advocate of education for Hawaii youth, and fully embraces Every Kid in a Park,\u201d said Park Superintendent Cindy Orlando. \u201cThe Kau students who hiked with her today not only met one of Hawaii\u2019s senators, but were able to spend quality time outdoors with someone who truly advocates for our keiki and national parks.\u201d\r\n\u00a0\r\nEarlier this year, the Senate unanimously approved Senator Hirono\u2019s resolution commemorating the 100th anniversary of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Haleakala National Park.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.hirono.senate.gov/press-releases/hirono-celebrates-100th-anniversary-of-national-park-service-at-hawaii-volcanoes-national-park"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8722241036593914, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
