The senator addressed the school community, discussing the importance of honoring the nation\u2019s flag and outlining his efforts to support the state\u2019s educators and students.\n\n\u201cThe U.S. flag is more than the colors and cloth. It represents who we are as a nation, from the students, families and faculty of this school, regardless of background, to those who have fought to protect our great country,\u201d said Hoeven. \u201cI\u2019m working every day in the U.S. Senate to ensure the future success of our country. That means supporting our teachers and their students, who one day will lead our communities, government and businesses. Our efforts are focused on ensuring students have the skills and knowledge they will need, including in STEM fields, to maintain our state and nation\u2019s role as a leader in innovation, helping secure our continued growth and prosperity.\u201d\n\nAmong other priorities, Hoeven is working to ensure students can compete in the industries of the future.
