The veterans were honored in the nation\u2019s capital with a banquet to recognize their service and toured the national war memorials and Arlington National Cemetery. Participating veterans fought in World War II, the Korean War or the Vietnam War.\n\n\u201cHonor flights give our veterans a rightfully-earned opportunity to visit our nation\u2019s capital, be recognized for their service in defending our freedoms and see our national war memorials firsthand,\u201d said Hoeven. \u201cWe appreciate the hard work of the organizers for making trips like this a reality.
