(Mac)\r\nThornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021. The\r\nSenate approved the Conference Report with a vote of 84-13. There\r\nisn't much that happens around Capitol Hill with the kind of track record that\r\nthe National Defense Authorization Act has, but there's a reason this bill gets\r\ndone every single year for the last 59 years: It's the most important bill\r\nwe'll do all year,\r\nInhofe said. It's what the Constitution tells us we have to do. We must\r\nprotect freedom, democracy and peace, and support our troops. This is the heart\r\nof the National Defense Authorization Act, and I look forward to it becoming law\r\nbefore the end of the year. The\r\nNational Defense Authorization Act is the primary vehicle by which Congress\r\nfulfills its Constitutional duty to provide for the common defense. The\r\nlegislation, which has been enacted into law every year for the last 59 years\r\nin a row, authorizes funding and provides critical authorities for the U.S.\r\nmilitary to strengthen national defense and take care of U.S. service members\r\nand military families.
