Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) praised Senate passage of the\u00a0Native American Veterans\u2019 Memorial Amendments Act of 2013 (H.R. 2319) late Thursday night\u00a0and today congratulated Congressman Markwayne Mullin (R-OK-2) on the passage of his first bill which ensures\u00a0Native American veterans are properly honored for their service in defense of the United States.\u00a0\r\n\u201cCongratulations to Congressman Mullin for the passage of his first piece of legislation through Congress,\"\u00a0said Inhofe.\u00a0\"I know first hand that he worked diligently on this bill that honors our country's Native American veterans, and I was proud to see passage of his bill in the Senate. It goes to show the great pride he has in the district and the people he represents in Oklahoma.\"\r\nThe Native American Veterans\u2019 Memorial Amendments Act of 2013 would allow the construction of a Native American Veterans\u2019 memorial on the property of the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.\r\nInhofe cosponsored S. 1046, the Senate companion bill to Mullin\u2019s inaugural legislation.
