Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee,\r\ntoday released the following statement on the National Defense Authorization\r\nAct for Fiscal Year 2021: The\r\nNDAA has become law every year for 59 years straight because it's absolutely\r\nvital to our national security and our troops. This year must not be an\r\nexception. Our men and women who volunteer to wear the uniform shouldn't be\r\ndenied what they need ever. This NDAA cements all the remarkable gains\r\nour military has made thanks to President Trump's leadership and sends a strong\r\nmessage of support to our service members and their families. I hope all of my\r\ncolleagues in Congress will join me in making sure our troops have the\r\nresources and equipment they need to defend this nation. We can and should use\r\nanother legislative vehicle to repeal Section 230 of the Communications Decency\r\nAct  a priority the President and I share. The\r\nNational Defense Authorization Act is the primary vehicle by which Congress\r\nfulfills its Constitutional duty to provide for the common defense. The\r\nlegislation, which has been enacted into law every year for the last 59 years\r\nin a row, authorizes funding and provides critical authorities for the U.S.\r\nmilitary to strengthen national defense and take care of U.S. service members\r\nand military families.
