Justice", "J000312", "www.justice.senate.gov", "justice", "https://www.justice.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/", "scraper", "WASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 Today, Senator Jim Justice (R-W.Va.) and U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a leader on the Senate Appropriations Committee announced $2,200,000 for West Virginia University (WVU) through the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).\n\nThe funding will specifically be used to support WVU\u2019s BioNano and Chemistry Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Research Facilities by modernizing the molecular characterization capabilities that will enable cutting-edge research involving both early career and senior faculty and their students.\n\n\u201cBringing these federal dollars back home for important West Virginia projects is one of my absolute favorite parts of serving in Washington. WVU is on a real roll right now, and this $2.2 million investment is going to put state-of-the-art tools right into the hands of our talented students and researchers.
