See key excerpts below:\n\nOn Trump\u2019s misplaced priorities\u2026\n\n\u201cThe number one job of a leader is to improve people\u2019s lives. He said there, in the Oval Office, he has spent a lot of time thinking about this. How does changing the name of a lake help the American people? They can\u2019t afford their lives right now. Because of his actions, the price of energy, specifically gas and diesel, has been jacked up substantially. People can\u2019t afford to put gas in their car. They can\u2019t afford rent. They can\u2019t afford food. And it\u2019s all because of this guy refuses to even try to do the job.\u201d\n\nOn the damage Trump is doing to America\u2019s alliances\u2026\n\n\u201cHe seems to always be tougher on our allies than he does on our adversaries. He sucks up to dictators around the world, especially Putin in Russia. He needs to read a book. He really does. He needs to understand history and the historical significance of how having these alliances have protected us and made us stronger and help us build the biggest economy in the world.\n\n\u201cWe\u2019ve got the strongest military, and he\u2019s dismantling that right in front of everybody, because I don\u2019t think he understands the role that the United States has on the world stage, or he doesn\u2019t care. He spends a lot of time on stupid things like the naming of lakes and gulfs. He spends a lot of time on trying to make himself richer, his family. The corruption that this administration is participating is unprecedented, and he seems to spend little time on improving people\u2019s lives. Hey, we\u2019ve got about another two years and this is going to be hopefully over and done for good. I just worry about the damage he\u2019s going to be doing between now and 2028.\u201d\n\nOn Trump\u2019s unprecedented self-enrichment at the expense of the American people\u2026\n\n\u201cLike all other presidents, he should have put all of his assets into a blind trust. I did that for me while I got into the Senate, after I was sworn in, so I\u2019ve got my assets in a blind trust. I have a public schedule. I don\u2019t take corporate PAC money. There\u2019s very few people\u2014I might be the only one or maybe one of a handful of people\u2014that do that in the United States Congress. This president does the opposite.\n\n\u201cHe looks for every opportunity. How does he grab the next buck? What trade can he make? What deal did the U.S. government just make that the public doesn\u2019t know about and he could possibly benefit from? He\u2019s trying to sell information to Wall Street at a subscription price of $100,000 a month. Inside information. He thinks this is a fair thing to do.\n\n\u201cHe gets richer while half of America right now is having a hard time affording food, and this president is becoming richer to the tune of billions of dollars. He doesn\u2019t care about the American people. He doesn\u2019t care about our country.
