On one hand, you have Pete Hegseth saying\u2014not exactly the exact same thing because he\u2019s even using Donald Trump\u2019s name in this. [\u2026] I don\u2019t think you can be more hypocritical than the two of these guys.\n\n\u201cI\u2019m just looking out for members of the military. I served in the Navy for 25 years. I\u2019ve been in these situations. I\u2019ve sunk two ships myself. I\u2019m worried about these servicemembers. So, we were just sending a truthful message. Just comply with the law, and then Donald Trump wants to kill me, hang me and Hegseth says he\u2019s going to prosecute me under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for saying what is in the UCMJ. But by the way, also a thing that he said repeatedly. Anderson, you can\u2019t make this stuff up. A year ago, Pam Bondi sent a brief to the Supreme Court and basically stated the exact same thing that I said in that video.\u201d\n\nFrom The Last Word with Lawrence O\u2019Donnell, on danger of normalizing Trump\u2019s threats against elected officials\u2026\n\n\u201cIt\u2019s unprecedented in our country\u2019s history for a president to call for the execution of members of Congress, and I hope we don\u2019t normalize this behavior. If the issue is fentanyl, then the approach needs to be at the border. That\u2019s where most of the fentanyl comes into the United States. And when you consider the amount of money we\u2019re spending to bring a battlegroup to the Caribbean, those resources put at the real problem of fentanyl smuggling could have a huge impact.
