A Trenton-area staple, Medina Health Center has treated underserved patients throughout Mercer County since 2014 and is committed to providing quality healthcare, regardless of any family’s ability to pay.

“Senator Kim’s vision for MediKids aligns with Medina’s mission to ensure that everyone who needs healthcare can receive comprehensive, high-quality care that is accessible and affordable,” said Mira Sadeghi, Executive Director, Medina Health Center. “Too many families in Trenton wait too long to get care because they cannot find or afford it, leading to more complicated and costly illnesses. We stand with the Senator in his efforts.”

MediKids is the latest effort by Senator Kim to provide affordable healthcare for all. As a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) and the Special Senate Committee on Aging, he’s fought to lower costs and support New Jersey’s most vulnerable while standing up for the sandwich generation. Senator Kim has also repeatedly condemned efforts from the Trump Administration to cut critical health services while increasing the cost of healthcare.

MediKids has been endorsed by the following organizations: First Focus Campaign for Children, What To Expect Project, American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG), ZERO TO THREE, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP), National Association of Nurses, National Education Association (NEA), Families USA, NAACP NJ, Save Our Schools, New Jersey Citizen Action, SPAN Parent Advocacy Network, The Arc of NJ, The New Jersey Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics, CASA of New Jersey, and the National Council on Severe Autism – NJ Chapter.

###", 1, "2026-09-15T09:50:21Z", "2026-09-15T09:52:05Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://www.kim.senate.gov/press_release/senator-kim-hears-from-new-jersey-parents-about-the-importance-of-delivering-universal-healthcare-for-kids/
