This funding will allow the State of Maine to expand access to high-quality preschool for children from low-income families.\n\n\u201cEarly childhood education is an investment in the future of our children,\u201d Senators Collins and King said. \u201cThis funding will expand access to pre-K and help build an educational foundation for Maine children that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.\u201d\n\n\u201cThe first five years of a child\u2019s life lay a foundation for future development and learning.
