{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://www.king.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/collins-king-announce-more-than-400000-in-grant-funding-to-assist-maine-families-living-in-public-housing-", "Collins, King Announce More Than $400,000 in Grant Funding to Assist Maine Families Living in Public Housing", "2014-09-29", "2014", "2014-09", "Independent", "House", "ME", "Angus King", "K000383", "www.king.senate.gov", null, null, "legacy", "Collins, King Announce More Than $400,000 in Grant Funding to Assist Maine Families Living in Public Housing \n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\tMonday, September 29, 2014\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tWASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 U.S. Senator Susan Collins, the Ranking Member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development, and U.S. Senator Angus King today announced that several housing authorities and municipalities in Maine will receive a total of $401,658 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).\u00a0 The grant funding will come through HUD\u2019s Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) and will be used to help public housing residents and individuals participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program to increase their education and gain marketable skills that will allow them to find employment and advance in their current work.\r\n\u201cPublic Housing Authorities in Maine play an indispensable role in helping some of our most vulnerable citizens find safe and affordable housing,\u201d\u00a0said Senators Collins and King in a joint statement. \u201cThis funding will support individuals and families across our state by connecting them with a range of vital services such as job training.\u201d\r\nThe list of Maine award recipients is below:\r\nAugusta Housing Authority, $32,213\r\nBangor Housing Authority, $22,362\r\nBrewer HA, $52,391\r\nCity of Caribou, $48,323\r\nHousing Authority of the City of Old Town, $23,772\r\nLewiston Housing Authority, $57,338\r\nMaine State Housing Authority, $53,580\r\nPortland Housing Authority, $71,411\r\nWestbrook Housing Authority, $40,268\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.king.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/collins-king-announce-more-than-400000-in-grant-funding-to-assist-maine-families-living-in-public-housing-"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.6048368997871876, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
