{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://www.king.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/king-announces-resolution-to-boat-launch-closure-at-moosehorn-national-wildlife-refuge", "King Announces Resolution to Boat Launch Closure at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge", "2013-10-16", "2013", "2013-10", "Independent", "House", "ME", "Angus King", "K000383", "www.king.senate.gov", null, null, "legacy", "King Announces Resolution to Boat Launch Closure at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\tWednesday, October 16, 2013\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tWASHINGTON, D.C.\u00a0 \u2013 U.S. Senator Angus King released the following statement today after working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on an agreement that would not enforce the closure of the state-owned boat launch at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge:\r\n\u201cAfter consulting with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service this morning, I am pleased to say that USFWS has agreed not to enforce the closure of the boat launch, which is a critical facility for local fishermen who rely on it for their jobs and livelihood,\u201d Senator King said. \u201cWhile not enforcing the closure is a welcomed decision, it is nonetheless a temporary fix, and Congress must vote to immediately end the shutdown and reopen vital facilities like this across the state and the nation.\u201d\r\nDue to the government shutdown, Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, like all national wildlife refuges across the country, is closed.
