This money will be distributed to fund ten 21st Century Learning Centers at five Rochester district schools and community programs, including the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester, the Somali American Social Service Association, Pamoja Women, and the Sports Mentorship Academy.\n\n\u201cWe must continue to support our public schools and community programs so that our children can thrive,\u201d said Klobuchar. \u201cI fought to restore this funding for Rochester so families and schools didn\u2019t lose out on vital programs.\u201d\n\n\u201cThis funding never should have been frozen in the first place. It\u2019s just another example of reckless cuts to funding that schools and communities rely on to support kids and families,\u201d said Smith. \u201cI\u2019m glad we pushed to get the money flowing to Rochester again.
