Power 2025 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. MSP has been ranked the top airport in North America by J.D. Power for two years in a row, and three out of the last four years. As a top member of the Senate Commerce Committee, Klobuchar has consistently supported airport improvement and safety funding for Minnesota airports.\n\n\u201cWhen tourists land at MSP, it is often their first impression of our state \u2013 and they arrive to find a world-class facility and a staff dedicated to making their journey as easy as possible. That\u2019s why I have consistently fought for airport funding for airports across Minnesota,\u201d said Klobuchar. \u201cI will continue to advocate for our state\u2019s airports to ensure they can keep up with safety requirements, and passenger and economic demands.\u201d\n\n\u201cFederal funding is important as we continue to modernize, expand and improve operations to meet the growing demand at MSP Airport,\u201d said Metropolitan Airports Commission CEO Brian Ryks. \u201cPartnerships between the MAC and the federal government help us to better meet the expectations of our customers and continually achieve national and industry accolades.\u201d\n\nKlobuchar worked to secure a major investment of federal funds to expand MSP\u2019s facilities at Terminal 2, which was awarded last year. This project is expected to be completed in 2027.
